Turret and Eyelet Tools
These are closeup shots of some anvils and staking tools which I made, to facilitate installing
both eylets and turrets. They are heavier-built than the units which are sold commercially, and
hold the eyelets and turrets in a much more positive and supportive nature. They've been working
great for me so far.

Eyelet Anvil
No more deformed eyelets! The recieving end is machined to the rounded shape of the eyelet in order to give it uniform support during the staking process, or when using a press. They have a dowel pin pressed into the center, which extends up into the eyelet just a bit...it acts as both a retainer, and as a centering device.
Amplifier Boards
The first of three views, showing a couple of boards built using the tools depicted on this page.
The brown board is new preamp section for another 'Wreck style amp...the blue board is for a '59 Tweed Champ project. I figured that since I'll be using it primarily for playing Blues, the color should give a bit of extra MoJo....heh.
Turret Anvil
These anvils hold the turrets snug, straight, and with NO slop, unlike the ones they sell commercially. It has a counter-bored shoulder (shown in the next pic, below) which both supports the turret, and also holds it still and centered.

Turret Anvil, unloaded
A detail shot....The anvils themselves are replaceable, and are retained by the base via a set screw. I fabricated two sizes of these anvils: one for the small turrets, and one for the larger diameter dual level turrets. These are pics of the larger version.

Comparison Shot
Just a side-by-side comparison between the commercial unit (right), and one of my own.
